This SeaBear smoked wild salmon is fully cooked and ready-to-serve. Simply place the fillet on a serving plate (we recommend pouring the natural oils in the pouch back over the salmon), and offer with whatever condiments you like—crackers or crostini, cream cheese, chopped red onion, sliced cheese, sliced apple (or other fruits), and sliced vegetables. Or, try adding smoked wild salmon to pasta, a salad, baked potato, stir-fry or omelet.

Much like fine wines, wild Pacific salmon offers many varieties to be explored and enjoyed. This Smoked Salmon Trio brings together three species of traditional Northwest-style smoked salmon from SeaBear for you to taste, explore and enjoy in a unique culinary experience.

Our smoked wild Alaskan salmon have a shelf life of approximately four years and require no refrigeration until they are opened. Once opened, they will last 4-7 days in the fridge. Think of the pouch like a "flexible can" – as long as the pouch is not punctured, leaking or opened, the product inside will stay good for at least 4 years. Even this is conservative, as long as the pouch is intact.

If you open the box and look at the gold pouch, you'll notice a series of letters & numbers (either on a white sticker, or stamped directly on the pouch, usually in red ink).

Zesty lemon pepper flavor with a touch of olive oil, in a convenient 4 oz Smoked Pink Salmon fillet. The wild salmon in this Limited Catch were caught near Lummi Island, Washington with the centuries-old fishing method known as Reef Netting. Pair with fresh vegetables for a quick, easy lunch!

THE STORY OF REEF NETTING

Caught just north of the SeaBear Smokehouse, the little-known method called reef netting is a centuries-old method of salmon fishing, first practiced by Native Americans using cedar canoes (it is believed to be the oldest net fishing method in the world). Today, reef netting is quite rare (there are only 11 licensed reef netters in the world, all located in the waters of north Puget Sound, and often handed down within families). To fish, a “reef” is created, using lines and flags strung between two floating, stationary platforms (in reef netting, the gear is stationary and the fish swim to it). As the flood tide runs, salmon swim into this “reef”, which ultimately channels them between the two platforms and over the netting.

No refrigeration required—enjoy anytime.

This limited run is great for use in recipes, and for everyday enjoyment. This is the same great Gold Seal™ wild smoked salmon SeaBear is famous for, but without the gift packaging! So, you get terrific savings, and since it requires no refrigeration, these are ideal to keep in the pantry. Each salmon fillet is vacuum-sealed, then gently cooked in its own juices—this preserves the salmon naturally, so no refrigeration is required until you're ready to serve.
