SALLY BY THE SEA
Hand Screen Printed & Painted
Lopez Island, Washington
Sally Moore started Sally by the Sea in 2009 when she joined the Lopez Island Farmers Market. Inspired by the tea towels that she and her friends collected from their travels, Sally decided to create towels that celebrated the local Northwest flavor. More specifically, the wildlife found right outside her front door. From salmon, crab, and octopus to chickens, owls, and bumblebees, Sally hand screen prints and paints each 100% unbleached USA cotton flour sack towel from her home studio on Lopez Island.
Sally’s towels capture the relaxed atmosphere of island life and a connection to the natural world. “It is a really personal experience. Every towel has been touched by me at least six or seven times before it gets to them. When people buy my towels I want them to feel happy.” — Sally Moore
