"This chowder is a hearty meal with lots of seafood. It's fairly easy to prepare. While simmering, it filled the house with a nice aroma. The ingredients were packed with plenty of dry ice so it came very frozen, which is good. It just meant that it took a little longer to defrost in the refrigerator. I've now added this to my list of favorites that I buy from SeaBear. It's a little expensive but you get a lot of seafood."

"I am thrilled that Seabear has come out with a soup that has less salt in it than their chowders, so I can actually eat it! This cioppino is excellent. It has just enough kick to not be bland, but is not so spicy that I cannot eat it, and I have a low tolerance for spicy. While I am sure it will stand on its own as packaged and with intended preparation, I took the liberty of adding a pound of walleye to it, since walleye is readily available at our Walmart and made it a heartier stew that serves as a main course, and, of course, decreased the relative salt content even more. We all loved it. There was enough for the 3 of us (really 4 servings, as my husband had 2 bowls, while our daughter and I had only one bowl each) plus leftovers. I have had "authentic" cioppino at an excellent restaurant in San Francisco, and this is right up there in quality."
"Wow! What a phenomenal dinner we had. The broth was far better, far tastier than any I've had. It had a nice kick to it and needed no extra seasoning. I followed the directions on the timing and the fish and shellfish were cooked perfectly. We had some sauteed zucchini on the side and crusty Italian bread for dipping and sopping up the broth. What a great Christmas eve dinner!"
"I ordered the Cioppino with my husband in mind. He often ordered it in restaurants on the Seattle Waterfront. Truth be told, I never had it before. It arrived in perfect condition. I put it in the freezer and prepared it on New Year's day. It was delicious! The seafood was very plentiful and the broth very flavorful. Will definitely order again."
