Alaska Crab Tacos

Alaska Crab Tacos

  • 1 pound Alaska Crab Meat (Dungeness, Snow, King crab—whatever is your favorite!)
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hot sauce or salsa (optional)

For the sautéed red peppers:

  • 2 red bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste

  1. In a small bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro. Toss to mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced red peppers and sauté until they are slightly softened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, and salt. This will be your sauce.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave them for a few seconds until pliable.
  5. To assemble the tacos, spread a spoonful of the sauce onto each tortilla.
  6. Divide the Alaska Crab meat equally among the tortillas. Top with the lettuce mixture, sautéed red peppers, and sliced avocado, if desired.
  7. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos for added flavor.
  8. If desired, drizzle hot sauce or salsa on top for an extra kick.
  9. Serve the Alaska Crab Tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side.
