"Magic" Grilled Wild Salmon
Ingredients
- 1 or 1.5 LBS Wild Salmon Fillets with Skin On (We recommend our Fresh & Wild Salmon Sides)
- 3 Tablespoons White Wine
- Juice from 1 lime (or 1 lemon)
- 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
- Your Favorite Salmon Seasoning (We use Paul Prudhomme's MAGIC Salmon Seasoning, or Tom Douglas' Salmon Rub with Love)
Instructions
- Remove salmon from refrigerator a half hour before grilling
- Preheat grill to med/high
- Whisk together the white wine, lemon, and olive oil (this thickens the mixture.) Baste non-skin sides of salmon filets with oil mixture, and sprinkle generously with seasoning. Place basted side down on grill
- Grill 5-7 minutes (depending on thickness) in a covered grill. Open grill back up, baste and season skin side then turn filets over using 2 spatulas. Baste again using the remaining oil mixture and more seasoning to taste
- Cover and grill skin side down for another 5-7 minutes, or longer if needed.
