Simply add milk or half & half while heating the Alehouse Clam Chowder. Or, if you prefer, add a can of tomato sauce for a creamy-tomato chowder.

Our Chowders & Soups are crafted with high-quality ingredients, creating a rich and robust flavor profile. Each batch is sealed into pouches as a concentrate to preserve it for an extended shelf life of 4 years. The following is our recommended instructions for preparation:

  1. Empty the contents of the pouch into a deep sauce-pan or pot. 
     
  2. Stir in 1 ½ cups of either milk or half-and-half. (Note: You can use non-dairy milks in your chowder, but because of the thinner consistency, we recommend staying between 1 to 1 ½ cups - keep watch of consistency.)
     
  3. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring frequently. Once the desired temperature is reached, let stand for 3 minutes before serving. 

While we highly recommend our preferred preparation method above, we know microwaving is a quick and convenient preparation method with busy schedules. For microwaving, combine the pouch contents and milk into a microwave safe container and stir until combined. Heat the mixture until hot and at desired consistency. Note: Our pouches are not designed to be cooked in a microwave, make sure the contents have been emptied out in advance to cooking.
