The smoked salmon and ready-to-eat salmon are fully cooked and ready to serve. Simply open and enjoy with the included crackers and Walla Walla Mustard for an easy appetizer spread.

Heating Your Chowders

Empty the chowder pouch into a saucepan or pot and stir in 1½ cups of milk or half-and-half. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it reaches your desired temperature. Let stand for 3 minutes before serving hot.

Storage

This product utilizes the signature SeaBear Gold Seal Pouch. Each pouch acts like a flexible can, making it versatile and preserving your fully-cooked smoked salmon for four years, with the potential for longer if kept intact. The gold seal pouch eliminates the need for refrigeration, making your salmon ready to eat upon opening.

Once opened, each salmon fillet will last 4 days with refrigeration.

Misrepresentation or Simple Confusion?

"The Gift Basket's description of contents reads (among others): "Two Wild Sockeye Salmon Fillets". I inferred from this description that those were fresh salmon filets. Consequently, i became deeply concerned when, after placing the order, I learned that it was not "on ice" and would take a week to be delivered. I had my elderly "giftee" on edge anticipating the delivery because it's a large complex and it could be a day or more before he knew it had been delivered; and we worried about the refrigeration of the salmon. Turns out thopedat they were NOT fresh salmon filets (as I had hoped [and feared]), but smoked or long-life vacuum packed salmon (my elderly giftee is not entirely clear on it). SO ... he's happy with what he received (and has already forgotten the anxiety we both shared over its delivery and condition), but I am not yet over the latter and am dismayed that the description was not more accurate. Not what I expect of Seabear."
